The care of a premature newborn is very complex due to the demands and vulnerability that occurs in the premature newborn, requiring training of personnel so that they are highly qualified, the kangaroo mother method is considered as a nursing care protocol for the premature newborn. low weight at the time of birth, seeking with this method the interaction of the mother and the premature infant with a very close contact called skin-to-skin, achieving positive results in temperature, breastfeeding and attachment. Objective: To describe how knowledge is related to the practice of nurses on the kangaroo mother method in a public hospital in Huancayo 2021. This research is important to have better strategies in the kangaroo mother method since through education on child care Nursing contributes to the adaptation of the environment and reduces complications. Methodology: A correlational and cross-sectional design study will be carried out with the questionnaire to measure the level of knowledge and the observation guide for practices, applying it in person to the nurses of the NICU service. The population will consist of 25 nurses from the neonatology area of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit service, with the sample consisting of 25 nurses from the NICU service.
Resumen
La atención a un recién nacido prematuro es muy compleja por las demandas y la vulnerabilidad que se produce en el neonato prematuro, necesitando capacitar al personal para que este altamente calificado, el método mamá canguro se considera como un protocolo de cuidados de enfermería al nacido prematuro de bajo peso en el momento del parto buscando con este método la interacción de la madre y el prematuro con un contacto muy cercano que se llama piel a piel logrando resultados positivos en la temperatura, lactancia y el apego. Objetivo: Describir como el conocimiento se relaciona con la práctica de las enfermeras sobre el método mamá canguro de un hospital público de Huancayo 2021. Esta investigación es importante para tener mejores estrategias en el método mamá canguro ya que a través de la educación sobre cuidados de enfermería contribuyen a la adaptación del medio y disminuir las complicaciones. Metodología se realizará un estudio de diseño correlacional y de corte transversal con el cuestionario para medir el nivel de conocimiento y la guía de observación para las prácticas aplicándola de forma presencial a las enfermeras del servicio de la UCIN. La población estará constituida por 25 enfermeras del área de neonatología del servicio de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales, siendo la muestra constituida por 25 enfermeras del servicio de la UCIN.
