Level of knowledge and attitude of the nurse towards pain management in premature babies in the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital in Norte Chico during the year 2021

Abstract

The present investigation arises from the interest in knowing the level of knowledge and attitude that nurses have towards pain in premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in a Norte Chico Hospital during the year 2021, the objective was also to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude of the nurse. The research method is hypothetical deductive with a quantitative approach and type of applied research, likewise the research design is non-experimental correlational cross-sectional since the survey was carried out at a single time. A sample of 35 nurses who work in the NICU will be considered. For data collection, the survey technique will be used and as an instrument the Neonatal Pain Knowledge Level Questionnaire adapted by Quezada, whose reliability is 0.851, made up of 16 questions and the Nurse's Attitude Scale towards neonatal pain. whose reliability is 0.892, made up of 9 questions. To obtain results, percentage distribution tables will be worked on, in which the levels reached by each variable and their respective dimensions will be revealed, and the Spearman correlation statistician will be used to test hypotheses.

La presente investigación surge del interés por conocer el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud que tienen las enfermeras frente al dolor en prematuros en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales en un Hospital del Norte Chico durante el año 2021, asimismo se planteó como objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud de la enfermera. El método de investigación es hipotético deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo y tipo de investigación aplicada, así mismo el diseño de investigación es no experimental correlacional de corte transversal ya que se realizó la encuesta en un sólo tempo. Se considerará una muestra de 35 enfermeras que laboran en UCIN. Para la recolección de datos se utilizará la técnica de la encuesta y como instrumento el Cuestionario de Nivel de Conocimiento del Dolor Neonatal adaptado por Quezada, cuya confiabilidad es de 0,851, integrada por 16 preguntas y La Escala de Actitud de la Enfermera frente al dolor neonatal cuya confiabilidad es de 0,892, integrada por 9 preguntas. Para la obtención de resultados se trabajarán las tablas de distribución porcentual en las que se darán a conocer los niveles alcanzados por cada variable y sus respectivas dimensiones y para la contrastación de hipótesis se utilizará el estadígrafo de correlación de Spearman.
