Childhood vaccination scheme associated with the presence of bacterial pneumonia in children treated at a National Hospital in Lima, 2022

Abstract

Objective: Determine how the childhood vaccination schedule is associated with the presence of bacterial pneumonia in children treated at a national hospital in Lima. The study has a quantitative, hypothetical-deductive approach with a retrospective observational-correlational design, using data collection in the intentional non-probabilistic sample of 120 hospital records in the pediatric population treated up to 7 years of age during the year 2022 in the Pediatrics area of ​​the study hospital, in addition to having a history of Immunizations in the digital applications of the Ministry of Health, demonstrating the hypothesis presented in the research.

Objetivo: Determinar como el esquema de vacunación infantil se asocia a la presencia de neumonía bacteriana en los niños atendidos en un hospital nacional de Lima. El estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, hipotético-deductivo con diseño observacional-correlacional de tipo retrospectivo, utilizándose la recopilación de datos en la muestra no probabilística intencional de 120 registros hospitalarios en población pediátrica atendida hasta los 7 años de edad durante el año 2022 en el área de Pediatría del hospital sede de estudio, además que cuenten con historial de Inmunizaciones en los aplicativos digitales del Ministerio de Salud, demostrando la hipótesis presentada en la investigación.
