Burnout syndrome and job performance in surgical center nurses at Hospital I Carlos Alcantara Butterfield - Lima, 2021

Abstract

The objective of the research is to determine the relationship between Burnout Syndrome and job performance in nurses from the surgical center of Hospital I Carlos Alcántara Butterfield – Lima, 2021. The type of research is applied, with a hypothetical-deductive method and a quantitative approach.

The population will consist of a total of 25 nurses working in the surgical center of Hospital I Carlos Alcántara Butterfield during the period from March to October 2021. The instruments to be used are: the first one is the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), where the reliability of the subscales emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment were 82, 80, and 85, respectively; the second instrument is the Job Performance Questionnaire, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.936, indicating very high reliability. The hypothetical-deductive method will also be employed.

La investigación realizada tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre el Síndrome de Burnout y el desempeño laboral en los enfermeros de centro quirúrgico del Hospital I Carlos Alcántara Butterfield – Lima, 2021, el tipo de investigación según su finalidad de tipo aplicada, método hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo la población estará compuesto por un total de 25 enfermeros que trabajan en el centro quirúrgico del Hospital I Carlos Alcántara Butterfield, del periodo Marzo – Octubre del 2021,. Los instrumentos que se utilizarán serán, el primero corresponde a Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) donde la confiabilidad de las subescalas agotamiento emocional, despersonalización y realización personal fueron 82, 80 y 85 respectivamente; como segundo instrumento se utilizará el cuestionario de Desempeño Laboral con un alfa de Crombach de 0.936. Que según los indicadores de confiabilidad el instrumento es de muy alta confiabilidad. Así mismo se utiliza el método hipotético-deductivo.
