Quality of life and work performance of the nurse during the covid-19 pandemic in a national hospital in Lima, 2022.

Abstract

The mission that nursing professionals fulfill is of utmost value within the health field; however, the current reality, characterized by the presence of Covid-19, shows that there is a high work overload, few incentives and inadequate infrastructure, equipment and furniture conditions that complicate their work, harming the adequate balance in their quality of life and, therefore, their work performance, a situation that directly affects the care provided to patients.

La misión que cumplen los Enfermería es de suma valía dentro del campo de la salud; sin embargo la realidad actual, caracterizada por la presencia del Covid-19, muestra que existe una alta sobrecarga de trabajo, escasos incentivos e inadecuadas condiciones de infraestructura, equipos y mobiliario que complican su labor, perjudicando el adecuado equilibrio en su calidad de vida y, con ello, su desempeño laboral, situación que incide de forma directa en los cuidados que se brinda a los pacientes.
