Knowledge and practices of the nursing professional about biosecurity standards in the surgical center of a hospital in Huaraz, 2024

Abstract

The objective of the research will be to determine the relationship between the knowledge and practices of nursing professionals regarding biosecurity standards in the Surgical Center of a hospital in Huaraz, 2024. The study will employ a deductive method with a quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental design – cross-sectional, and descriptive-correlational level. A sample of 50 nurses from the Surgical Center area will be considered. Two questionnaires will be used as data collection instruments: the Questionnaire on knowledge of biosecurity standards to evaluate the first variable, and the Checklist (or verification) on biosecurity standards for the second variable in question. The collected data will be processed and analyzed using the SPSS statistical software version 26 and will undergo descriptive and inferential statistical tests, such as the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient, to determine the relationship between the variables.

El objetivo de la investigación será Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y prácticas del profesional de enfermería sobre las normas de bioseguridad en Centro Quirúrgico de un Hospital en Huaraz, 2024. El estudio contemplará un método deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental – corte transversal y de nivel descriptivo correlacional. Se considerará una muestra de 50 enfermeros pertenecientes al área de Centro de Quirúrgico. Se utilizarán dos cuestionarios como instrumentos de recolección de datos, el Cuestionario sobre conocimiento de normas de bioseguridad para evaluar la primera variable y la Lista de cotejo (o verificación) sobre normas de bioseguridad para la segunda variable en cuestión. Los datos recolectados serán procesados y analizados usando el programa estadístico SPSS versión 26 y serán sometidas a pruebas estadísticas descriptivas e inferenciales como el coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman para determinar la relación entre las variables.
