Psychological well-being and cyber addiction in students of a public educational institution, Cajamarca-2023

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between psychological well-being and cyber-addiction in students from a public educational institution in Cajamarca, 2023. The sample consisted of 286 adolescents. The study employed a quantitative approach, correlational scope, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The Psychological Well-being Questionnaire (BIEPSA) and the Social Media Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) were applied, and both instruments had good internal consistency. A low, inverse correlation was found between the variables psychological well-being and cyber-addiction.

El propósito de la investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre bienestar psicológico y ciberadicción en estudiantes de una institución educativa pública, Cajamarca-2023, la muestra estuvo formada por 286 adolescentes .Asimismo, la investigación se utilizó el enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance correlacional, con diseño no experimental transversal, se aplicó el cuestionario de Bienestar psicológico BIEPSA y Cuestionario de Adicción a las redes sociales (ARS), los instrumentos que presentan una adecuada consistencia interna. Se encontró una correlación baja en sentido inverso entre las variables bienestar psicológico y ciberadicción.
