Coping strategies and work stress in nurses at a hospital in Huaraz, 2024

Abstract

Work-related stress is a significant issue in the field of nursing, affecting both the well-being of professionals and the quality of care provided to patients. This study seeks to understand how coping strategies influence stress management among nurses. Objective: The general objective is to determine the relationship between coping strategies and work-related stress in nurses at a hospital in Huaraz in 2024.Methodology: The study will be based on a quantitative approach, using the hypothetical-deductive method. Data will be collected through a non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional design. Coping strategies employed by nurses and their relationship with levels of work-related stress will be analyzed using Pearson's statistical test.

El estrés laboral es un problema significativo en el ámbito de la enfermería, afectando tanto el bienestar de los profesionales como la calidad del cuidado brindado a los pacientes. Este estudio busca comprender cómo las estrategias de afrontamiento influyen en el manejo del estrés en enfermeras. Objetivo: El objetivo general es determinar la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y el estrés laboral en enfermeras de un hospital en Huaraz, en el año 2024. Metodología: El estudio se basará en un enfoque cuantitativo, utilizando el método hipotético deductivo. Se recopilarán datos a través de un diseño no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal. Se analizarán las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas por las enfermeras y su relación con los niveles de estrés laboral a través de la prueba estadística de Pearson.
