Knowledge and Practices on Complementary Feeding of Mothers and the Nutritional Status of Infants from 6 to 12 Months of the Toribia Castro Chirinos Lambayeque Health Center – 2024

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between knowledge levels and practices regarding complementary feeding of mothers and the nutritional status of infants aged 6 to 12 months at the Toribia Castro Chirinos Health Center, Lambayeque – 2024. It was a study with a quantitative, hypothetical-deductive, cross-sectional approach, with a population of 120 mothers and their children aged 6 to 12 months. The results showed a significant relationship, with a significance level of 0.000, lower than the residence level, and a correlation coefficient of 0.934.

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y las prácticas sobre alimentación complementaria de madres y el estado nutricional de lactantes de 6 a 12 meses del Centro de Salud Toribia Castro Chirinos Lambayeque – 2024. Fue un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, hipotética deductivo, trasversal, con una población de 120 madres con sus niños de entre 6 y 12. Sus resultados fueron que, si existe relación significativa ya que el nivel de significancia es 0.000, menor al de residencia y se pudo obtener un 0.934, así también un coeficiente de correlación de 0.934.
