Knowledge and practice of nursing care on serious cranial brain injury of the emergency service of the San José de Chincha Hospital, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Lately, there has been an increase in interest in the study of the management of patients with this damage, to improve the quality of patient care by emergency service nurses. Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and nursing practice on severe head injury in the emergency service of the San José de Chincha Hospital, 2023”. Methods: applied, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional study. The census sample consisted of 50 nursing graduates from the emergency service only. In addition, the survey will be used to then apply the two questionnaires with a Likert scale to the patients, in addition, they were validated and are reliable in order to measure both study variables. Likewise, the data collection will go through the statistical processing in SPSS 27 and the hypotheses will be tested using a statistical test of the coefficient of achievement.

Introducción: últimamente, se ha asistido un aumento del interés por el estudio acerca del manejo de pacientes con este daño, para mejorar la calidad de atención en los pacientes por parte de las enfermeras del servicio de emergencia. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la práctica de los cuidados de enfermería sobre el traumatismo encéfalo craneano grave en el servicio de emergencia del Hospital San José de Chincha, 2023”. Métodos: estudio de tipo aplicada, cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal. La muestra censal estuvo conformada por 50 licenciados de enfermería solo del servicio de emergencia. Además, se empleará la encuesta para luego ser aplicada los dos cuestionarios con una escala de Likert a los pacientes, además, fueron validados y son confiables con la finalidad de medir ambas variables de estudio. Asimismo, la recolección de datos pasará por el procesamiento estadístico en SPSS 27 y las hipótesis se probarán usando una prueba estadística de coeficiente de correlación.
