Level of knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding and the relationship with the nutritional status of children under 6 months of age at the CRED clinic of the Mangomarca Health Center, San Juan de Lurigancho, 2022

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of children under 6 months of age seen in the CRED clinic of the Mangomarca Health Center - San Juan de Lurigancho 2022. It was a quantitative approach study of an applied, prospective and transversal type, since we will analyze the methods, knowledge and previous theories that will serve for the description and interpretation of this research, the design is correlational. In variable one, the questionnaire developed and validated by Garayar in 2015 Lima – Peru will be used and for variable two the questionnaire of the technical standard for Growth and Development. The population was made up of 75 mothers and their children under 6 months old who attend their Growth and Development consultation. It is evident that there is no research study on the aforementioned topic in the health center. For this reason, this study will be carried out to generate knowledge and not leave aside an important topic, with the aim of being useful for the health center.

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento de las madres sobre lactancia materna exclusiva y el estado nutricional de los niños menores de 6 meses atendidos en el consultorio de CRED del Centro de Salud Mangomarca – San Juan de Lurigancho 2022. Fue un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo de tipo aplicada, prospectiva y transversal, ya que analizaremos los métodos, conocimientos y teorías previas que servirá para la descripción e interpretación de esta investigación, el diseño es correlacional. En la variable uno se utilizará el cuestionario elaborado y validado por Garayar en el año 2015 Lima – Perú y para la variable dos el cuestionario de la norma técnica de Crecimiento y Desarrollo. La población fue conformada por 75 madres y sus niños menores de 6 meses que asisten a su consulta de Crecimiento y Desarrollo. Se evidencia que no existe un estudio de investigación del tema mencionado en el centro de salud. Por ello se realizará este estudio, para generar conocimiento y no dejar de lado un tema importante, con la finalidad que sea útil para el centro de salud.
