Grief and its relationship with anxiety levels in relatives of patients deceased by Covid-19.

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between grief and anxiety levels in relatives of patients who died from COVID-19. Material and methods: Hypothetical-Deductive, Quantitative approach, Applied, Descriptive study, non-experimental design, Cross-sectional, Prospective. The population was 115 relatives of patients who died from COVID-19, being selected by inclusion and exclusion criteria of the research. The survey was used as a technique and the Prolonged Grief Questionnaire (PG-13) with 13 items and the Zung Anxiety Scale with 20 items as an instrument to assess grief and anxiety respectively. The relationship analysis was developed with the Pearson correlation test.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el duelo con los niveles de ansiedad en familiares de pacientes fallecidos por COVID-19. Material y métodos: Hipotético-Deductivo, enfoque Cuantitativo, Aplicada, estudio Descriptivo, diseño no experimental de corte Transversal, Prospectivo. la población fueron 115 familiares de pacientes fallecidos por COVID-19, siendo seleccionados por criterios de inclusión y exclusión de la investigación. Se utilizó como técnica la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario de Duelo Prolongado (PG-13) con 13 ítems y la escala de Ansiedad de Zung con 20 ítems para evaluar el duelo y la ansiedad respectivamente. El análisis de relación se desarrolló con la prueba de correlación de Pearson.
