Factors that influence compliance with the vaccination scheme of mothers in children under five years of age in the health center “Gustavo Lanatta Lujan- Lima - Norte, 2019“

Abstract

Objective: To determine the factors that intervene in the compliance of the immunization schedule of mothers with children under five years of age at the Gustavo Lanatta Luján health center, Lima - North 2019. Materials and methods: It had a quantitative, descriptive approach, a cross-sectional methodological design. The study worked with a population consisting of 71 mothers with children under five years of age who attend the immunization service of the health facility. They were chosen based on inclusion and exclusion points. The technique used was the survey and the questionnaire as an instrument. Results: The factors that intervene in the compliance of the immunization schedule are absent 57% and present 43%. Regarding the sociodemographic characteristics of mothers, 52.8% are between 18 and 29 years old, 66.7% have secondary education, 56.9% are homemakers, 48.6% have a monthly salary between 300 and 800 soles, and 56.9% live in shared housing. Regarding the cognitive factor, 68% are absent and 32% are present. Regarding the institutional factor, 51% are present and 49% are absent. Conclusions: The factors that intervene in the compliance of the immunization schedule are absent in mothers of children under five years of age at the Gustavo Lanatta Luján health center, Lima - Norte 2019.

Objetivo: Determinar los factores que intervienen en el cumplimiento del esquema de inmunización de madres en niños menores de cinco años en el centro de salud Gustavo Lanatta Lujan, Lima – Norte 2019. Materiales y métodos: Tuvo enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo, diseño metodológico de corte transversal. Se trabajó con una población constituida por 71 madres con hijos menores de cinco años quienes se atienden en el servicio de inmunizaciones del establecimiento de salud, estas fueron escogidas bajo puntos de inclusión y exclusión. la técnica que ha sido utilizada fue la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario. Resultados: Los factores que intervienen en el cumplimiento del esquema de inmunización están ausentes 57% y presentes 43%. en cuanto a las características sociodemográficas de las madres el 52,8% tienen entre 18 a 29 años, 66,7% tienen educación secundaria, el 56,9% madres que se dedican a la casa, 48,6% con un sueldo mensual entre 300 a 800 soles y 56,9% viven en viviendas compartidas. en cuanto al factor cognitivo están ausentes 68% y presentes 32%. en cuanto al factor institucional están presentes un 51% y ausentes 49%.Conclusiones: Los factores que intervienen en el cumplimiento del esquema de inmunización están ausentes en las madres de niños menores de cinco años en el centro de salud Gustavo Lanatta Lujan, Lima – Norte 2019.
