Self-care capacity and quality of pathway in patients receiving chemotherapy, from the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Lima hospital – 2022

Abstract

The objective of this thesis project is to determine the relationship between the capacity for self-care and quality of life in patients receiving chemotherapy, at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital Lima – 2022. Methodology: quantitative, hypothetical-deductive, applied, non-experimental, correlational and transversal., applied two instruments: "the self-care assessment of the oncology patient, a Scale "appreciation of the self-care agency (ASA)" of the nurses Isenberg and Evers, disciples of Orem, will be used. This scale covers the following dimensions: interaction dimension social, dimension Activity and rest, dimension sufficient consumption of food or nutrition: and dimension Promotion of personal functioning and development and whose results are very low: 4 -7 points, low: 8 – 10 points, regular: 11 – 13 points, good: 14 – 16 points. Also establishing as global rating criteria: very low self-care capacity: 24-43 points low self-care capacity: 44-62 points regular self-care capacity: 63-81 points Good self-care capacity: 82-96 points and the Quality Scale QLQ-C30 life expectancy in cancer patients. It is a questionnaire that consists of 30 questions applicable to all cancer patients. The population was the same as the sample and these were 100 oncology patients attending the chemotherapy unit of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen hospital.

El presente proyecto de tesis tiene por objetivo determinar la relación entre la capacidad de autocuidado y calidad de vida en pacientes que reciben quimioterapia, del Hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Lima – 2022. Metodología: cuantitativo, hipotético-deductivo, aplicada, no experimental, correlacional y transversal., aplicó dos instrumentos: “la valoración de autocuidado del paciente oncológico, se utilizará una Escala “apreciación de la agencia de autocuidado (ASA)” de las enfermeras Isenberg y Evers discípulas de Orem, Esta escala abarca las siguientes dimensiones: dimensión interacción social, dimensión Actividad y reposo, dimensión consumo suficiente de alimentos o alimentación: y dimensión Promoción del funcionamiento y desarrollo personal y cuyos resultados son muy baja: 4 -7 puntos, baja: 8 – 10 puntos, regular: 11 – 13 puntos, buena: 14 – 16 puntos. Estableciendo además como criterios de calificación global: capacidad de autocuidado muy baja: 24-43 puntos capacidad de autocuidado baja: 44-62 puntos capacidad de autocuidado regular: 63-81 puntos capacidad de autocuidado Buena: 82-96 puntos y la Escala de calidad de vida QLQ-C30 en pacientes oncológicos. Es un cuestionario que consta de 30 preguntas aplicable a todo paciente oncológico. La población fue igual a la muestra y estos fueron 100 pacientes oncológicos que asisten a unidad de quimioterapia del hospital Guillermo almenara Irigoyen.
