Resumen
Objective: Determine the relationship between knowledge and nursing practices on closed-circuit aspiration of secretions in intubated patients in the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Lima. Methodology: The method will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, correlational design, the population will be made up of 63 nurses. Data collection techniques and instruments: To collect the information, the survey technique and two instruments will be applied: Nursing knowledge on closed-circuit aspiration of secretions in intubated patients with 16 items, whose dimensions (biosafety, procedural, patient and equipment); and Nursing practice on closed-circuit aspiration of secretions in intubated patients with 19 items, whose dimensions (before, during and after aspiration). Procedures: The data will be collected in the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Lima. Statistical analysis: The results will be presented in statistical tables and/or graphs for analysis and interpretation. For this, the SPSS version 26.0 program and the Microsoft Excel 2019 program were used; Likewise, to test the hypothesis, the Spearman Correlation Test (Rho) will be applied, with the margin being the level of statistical significance of p < 0.05.
Resumen
Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los conocimientos y las prácticas de enfermería sobre aspiración de secreciones por circuito cerrado en pacientes intubados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima. Metodología: El método será hipotético–deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicado, diseño correlacional, la población será conformada por 63 enfermeros. Técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos: Para la recolección de la información se aplicará la técnica de la encuesta y dos instrumentos: Conocimiento de enfermería sobre aspiración de secreciones por circuito cerrado en pacientes intubados de 16 ítems, cuyas dimensiones (bioseguridad, procedimental, paciente y equipo); y Práctica de enfermería sobre aspiración de secreciones por circuito cerrado en pacientes intubados de 19 ítems, cuyas dimensiones (antes, durante y después de la aspiración). Procedimientos: Los datos serán recolectados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima. Análisis estadístico: Los resultados serán presentados en tablas y/o gráficos estadísticos para su análisis e interpretación, para ello se utilizó el programa SPSS versión 26.0 y el programa Microsoft Excel 2019; asimismo, para la contrastación de la hipótesis se aplicará la Prueba de Correlación de Spearman (Rho), como margen el nivel de significancia estadística de p < 0.05.
