Complications in patients with hemodialysis treatment in a hospital in Callao January - September 2021

Abstract

Objective: "To determine the types of complications presented in patients undergoing hemodialysis treatments at the Callao Hospital from January to September 2021." Methodology: This study has a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional design with a correlational type. The entire population of patients attended at the Naval Medical Center Hospital, consisting of 78 selected patients, with inclusion and exclusion criteria applied in the study, and the sample size was not calculated. Data collection techniques and tools: These techniques are used for the study variables, specifically the complications found by patients during hemodialysis therapy. The variable tool uses surveys. File: Age, Gender, Education, Marital History, Origin. Procedure: Data will be collected from the hemodialysis service over 3 months at the Naval Medical Center Hospital. After obtaining the information through the application of the instrument, the data will be recorded in a database using SPSS Version 25. Statistical Analysis: In the descriptive analysis, frequency tables, measures of central tendency and dispersion, and graphical representations will be used to evaluate the level of relationship of the variable under study. The Chi-square test will be applied, with p< 0.05 considered statistically significant.

Este estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo y corte transversal, con un diseño correlacional. La totalidad de pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Centro Médico Naval, conformado por 78 pacientes seleccionados, hubo criterios de inclusión y exclusión en el estudio y no se calculó el tamaño de la muestra. Técnicas y herramientas de recolección de datos: estas técnicas se utilizan para las variables en estudio, las complicaciones encontradas por los pacientes durante la terapia de hemodiálisis. La herramienta de variables utiliza encuestas. Archivo: Edad, Género, Educación, Historia de matrimonio, Origen. Procedimiento: Se recogerán datos del servicio de hemodiálisis durante 3 meses del Hospital Centro Médico Naval. Habiendo obtenido la información mediante la aplicación del instrumento, se registraron los datos en una base en el programa SPSS Versión 25. Análisis Estadístico: En el análisis descriptivo se utilizarán tablas de frecuencias, medidas de tendencia central y de dispersión y representaciones gráficas para así poder evaluar el nivel de relación de la variable en estudio, se utilizará la prueba de Chi cuadrada, aceptándose como significativo valores p< 0,05.
