Coping strategies and quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease of the Regional Hospital of Ayacucho, 2022.

Abstract

This study will be developed within the line of research on nursing care in nephrology and will focus on coping strategies and quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease, a condition that involves great physical and emotional wear and tear due to the procedures to which they are subjected and the radical change it produces in every aspect of their life, generating limitations that make it necessary to use strategies to assume these changes and minimize the risks of other ailments that could further deteriorate their condition. Objective: to determine the relationship between coping strategies and quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease at the Ayacucho Regional Hospital, 2022. Materials and methods: the approach will be quantitative, basic, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design and descriptive - correlational scope. The selected study sample will be 60 patients treated at the Ayacucho Regional Hospital. The technique will be the survey and the instruments will be the Coping Estimation Inventory and the WHOQOL-BREF Questionnaire.

Este estudio se desarrollará dentro de la línea de investigación de cuidado enfermero en nefrología y se enfocará en las estrategias de afrontamiento y la calidad de vida de los pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica, condición que implica un gran desgaste físico y emocional debido a los procedimientos a los cuales son sometidos y al cambio radical que produce en todo aspecto de su vida, generando limitaciones que hacen necesario el uso de estrategias para asumir estos cambios y minimizar los riesgos de otros malestares que pudieran deteriorar más su condición. Objetivo: determinar cuál es la relación entre estrategias de afrontamiento y calidad de vida en pacientes con enfermedad renal crónica del Hospital Regional de Ayacucho, 2022. Materiales y métodos: el enfoque será cuantitativo, de tipo básica, con diseño no experimental, transversal y alcance descriptivo - correlacional, la muestra de estudio seleccionada será de 60 pacientes atendidos en el Hospital Regional de Ayacucho. la técnica será la encuesta y los instrumentos serán el Inventario de Estimación del Afrontamiento y el Cuestionario WHOQOL-BREF.
