Level of knowledge about central venous catheter management by nursing staff and device-associated infections in intensive care at the Hospital - Huaral, 2022.

Abstract

The management of the central venous catheter as well as the possible infections that may occur in the process is essential, so the knowledge that the professional has in this regard will be relevant for the safety and well-being of the patient, avoiding these infections that could harm the patient's health and even cause death. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to determine the relationship that exists between the knowledge about CVC management by the Nursing staff and the Infections Associated with the device in intensive care units of the San Juan Bautista Hospital, 2022.

El manejo del catéter venoso central así como de las posibles infecciones que produzcan en el proceso es esencial, por lo cual el conocimiento que tenga el profesional al respecto será relevante para la seguridad y bienestar del paciente evitando estas infecciones que podría perjudicar la salud del paciente e incluso ocurrir un deceso. Es por ello el propósito de la investigación es determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento sobre el manejo CVC por el personal de Enfermería y las Infecciones Asociadas al dispositivo en unidades cuidados intensivos del Hospital San Juan Bautista, 2022.
