Risk factors and their relationship with the level of anemia in children from 3 to 4 years of age at the Moquegua Initial Educational Institution, 2023

Abstract

Anemia one of the most common pathologies in the world, is a public health problem that affects the most vulnerable groups, such as children, pregnant women, women about to become mothers and adolescents. For this reason, there are determining factors that influence the presence of anemia in babies. Therefore, the General Objective is to determine the relationship between risk factors and the level of anemia in children from 3 to 4 years of age at the Moquegua Initial Educational Institution, 2023. Materials and Methods: A hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, applied, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational research design will be used. Population: The population was 80 mothers representing children ages 3 to 4 years old, distributed in 4 initial classrooms, 2 classrooms of 3 years old and 2 classrooms of 4 years old, having a total of 80 representative mothers of families. Techniques and instruments: This study used the survey as a technique for the first and second variable "risk factors" and" level of anemia"; the instrument was a 35-question questionnaire. Results: ( ) The results showed pvalues of less than .05 (p < .05), which means that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted: There is a statistically significant relationship between certain factors. Conclusions: The degree of anemia presented by children aged 3 to 4 years of the Moquegua educational institution is: the severe level is the degree of anemia high level, followed by the degree low level.

La anemia es una de las patologías más comunes en el mundo, es un problema de salud pública que afecta a los grupos más vulnerables como niños y mujeres embarazadas, entre otros. Por ello, existen factores determinantes que influyen en la presencia de anemia en los bebés. Por ello se ha dispuesto como Objetivo general: Determinar qué relación existe entre los factores de riesgo con el nivel de anemia en niños de 3 a 4 años de la Institución Educativa Inicial Moquegua, 2023. Materiales y Métodos: Se utilizó un diseño de investigación hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo, aplicado, no experimental, transversal y correlacional. Población: La población fueron 80 madres de familia representantes de niños de edades entre 3 y 4 años, distribuidos en 4 salones de inicial, 2 salones de 3 años y 2 salones de 4 años, teniendo en cuenta que la muestra fue censal del total de la población. Técnicas e instrumentos: Este estudio empleó la encuesta como técnica para la primera y segunda variable “factores de riesgo” y” nivel de anemia”; el instrumento fue un cuestionario de 35 preguntas. Resultados: () Los resultados evidenciaron p-valor menores a .05 (p < .05), los cuales refieren que se rechaza la hipótesis nula (H0) y se acepta la hipótesis alterna (H1): Existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre ciertos factores. Conclusiones: El grado de anemia que presentan los niños de 3 a 4 años de la institución educativa Moquegua es: el nivel severo es el grado de anemia es alto, seguido por el grado nivel bajo.
