Knowledge and practice on the care of the newborn in the mothers of the neonatal service of the María Auxiliadora hospital, Lima 2022.

Abstract

The objective of the study is: "To determine the level of knowledge and practices on newborn care in mothers in the neonatology service of the María Auxiliadora Hospital, 2022". Research method: The hypothetical deductive method will be used. The quantitative approach, because the variables described can be measured through a statistical test. The type of study: proposed will be applied, because it will provide solutions to the problem focused on in this research, the design: non-experimental correlational and cross-sectional. The population will be made up of 80 mothers whose children are newborns and cared for in the neonatology service of the "María Auxiliadora Hospital. Instruments: Two validated instruments will be applied, the first instrument to measure knowledge will be used, the questionnaire will be used, which will be titled knowledge about newborn care and the second instrument to measure practice will be used, the observation guide. For the hypothesis test, the non-parametric chi square test will be applied, which will establish if there is a relationship between the two variables.

El estudio tiene como Objetivo: “Determinar el nivel de conocimientos y prácticas sobre los cuidados del recién nacido en las madres del servicio de neonatología del hospital María Auxiliadora, 2022”. Método de investigación: Se empleará el método hipotético deductivo. El enfoque cuantitativo, porque las variables descritas se podrán medir a través de una prueba estadística. El tipo de estudio: planteado será aplicada, porque dará soluciones al problema enfocado en esta investigación, el diseño: correlacional no experimental y de corte transversal. la población estará constituida por 80 madres cuyos hijos sean recién nacidos y atendidas en el servicio de neonatología del “Hospital María Auxiliadora. Instrumentos: Se aplicará dos instrumentos validados el primer instrumento para medir el conocimiento se utilizará el cuestionario que tendrá por título conocimiento sobre cuidados del recién nacido y el segundo instrumento para medir práctica se utilizará la guía de observación. Para la prueba de hipótesis se aplicará la prueba no paramétrica chi cuadrado que establecerá si hay relación entre las dos variables.
