This research paper is titled “Relationship between Burnout Syndrome and the Professional Quality of Life of Nursing Staff Working in the ICU of a Hospital in Lima, 2022,” and its objective is to determine the connection between burnout syndrome and the professional quality of life of nursing staff working in the ICU of a hospital in Lima, 2022. The study will address the issues observed among the nursing staff working in the Intensive Care Unit, as for a long time, this group, which is the backbone of the healthcare system, has been affected by emotional and physical exhaustion due to their direct contact with individuals seeking solutions to their health problems. This burnout often interferes with the performance of the professionals' duties. It is crucial to examine the relationship between the variables mentioned in the title of this research, which will follow a deductive approach with a quantitative, cross-sectional, correlational, and prospective design. The study population will consist of 70 members of the nursing team, including registered nurses and technicians, working in the ICU on various alternating shifts at a hospital in Lima.
Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como título “Relación entre el síndrome de burnout y la calidad de vida profesional del personal de enfermería que laboran en la UCI de un hospital de Lima, 2022”, y tiene por objetivo delimitar la conexión que hay entre el síndrome de burnout con la calidad de vida profesional del personal de enfermería que laboran en la UCI de un hospital de Lima, 2022; donde se abordará las problemáticas que se han venido observando en el personal de enfermería que labora en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, ya que por mucho tiempo el personal de enfermería que es la columna vertebral del sistema en la atención de la salud se ha visto envuelto en un desgaste emocional y físico debido a la labor que realiza en el contacto directos con personas que llegan en busca de soluciones a los problemas de salud que presentan, dicho desgaste muchas veces interfieren en el desenvolvimiento de las funciones de cada profesional. Para ello encontramos de gran importancia delimitar la relación que existe en las variables mencionadas en el título de esta labor investigativa la cual será deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, de corte transversal, correlacional y prospectivo y cuya población de estudio estará establecida por 70 integrantes quienes forman parte del equipo de enfermería que incluyen a los licenciados y técnicos quienes laboran en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos en los diferentes turnos alternos de un hospital de Lima.
