Preoperative anxiety and pain management in postoperative patients undergoing abdominal surgery in a hospital in Lima - 2022.

Abstract

The objective of this research project is: To determine the relationship between preoperative anxiety and pain management in postoperative patients undergoing open abdominal surgery in a Lima Hospital - 2022. Material and method: The study will have a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional design. The population will be made up of 376 patients scheduled for open abdominal surgery. The data collection technique will be the survey and the instrument to measure anxiety is the Spielberg anxiety assessment scale (STAI-ESTADO) applied by Guerrero and Sotomayor and for pain management, the scale for the assessment of nursing intervention in postoperative pain management applied by Ahuanari Ramírez. These instruments were validated and reliable with a Crombach's alpha of 0.942 for the anxiety variable and a Crombach's alpha of 0.77 for the pain management variable and validated with an Aiken V coefficient of 1 for the anxiety variable and p value = 0.013 where p is significant for the pain management variable. The results will be collected through Microsoft Excel 2013 and the SPSS statistical package version 25.0. To be presented in tables and graphs and to evaluate the relationship between two variables, the Kolmogorov test will be used.

El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre ansiedad en el preoperatorio y manejo del dolor en post operados sometidos a cirugía abdominal abierta en un Hospital de Lima - 2022. Material y método: El estudio tendrá un enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, descriptivo correlacional, de corte transversal. la población estará conformada por 376 pacientes programados a cirugía abdominal abierta. la técnica de recolección de datos será la encuesta y el instrumento para medir la ansiedad es la escala de valoracion de la ansiedad Spielberg (STAI-ESTADO) aplicada por Guerrero y Sotomayor y para el manejo del dolor escala para la valoración de la intervencion de enfermería en el manejo del dolor postoperatorio aplicada por Ahuanari Ramírez . Dichos instrumentos fueron validados y confiabilidasados con un alfa de crombach de 0.942 para la variable ansiedad y un alfa de crombach de 0.77 para la variable manejo del dolor y validados con un coeficiente de V Aiken de 1 para la variable ansiedad y valor de p= 0.013 donde p es significativo para la variable manejo del dolor. Los resultados serán recolectados atravez del programa de Microsoft Excel 2013 y el paquete estadístico SPSS versión 25.0, Para ser presentados en tablas y gráficos y para evaluar la relación de dos variables se utilizará la prueba de kolmogorov.
