Risk of type 2 diabetes in adults attending the Mesa Redonda de San Martín de Porres Health Center, Lima-2020

Abstract

Objective: Determine the risk of type 2 diabetes in adults who attend the San Martín de Porres Roundtable Health Center, Lima-2020. Material and methods: The methodological approach used was quantitative, its design is descriptive and cross-sectional, with a population consisting of 58 adults and older adults who attend the Mesa Redonda health center in San Martin de Porres: the data collection technique Data was the survey and the data collection instrument to measure the Risk of Type 2 Diabetes was the TEST Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC) composed of 8 items grouped into 8 dimensions. Results: Regarding the Risk of Type 2 Diabetes who attend the round table health center, low risk predominated with 34.5%, followed by slightly elevated risk with 31%, high risk with 17.% and very high risk with 2%, and in sex it was observed that men present a higher risk with 53.4% ​​and women with 46.6%. Conclusions: According to the risk of diabetes, low risk predominated, followed by slightly elevated, high, moderate and very high.

Objetivo: Determinar el riesgo de diabetes tipo 2 en adultos que acuden al centro de salud mesa redonda de san Martín de Porres, lima-2020. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue cuantitativo, su diseño es descripto y de corte transversal, con una población constituida por 58 personas adultas y adultas mayores que acuden al centro de salud Mesa Redonda en San Martin de Porres: la técnica de recolección de datos fue la encuesta y el instrumento de recolección de datos para medir el Riesgo de Diabetes tipo 2 fue el TEST Fininish Diabetes Risk Scoreo (FINDRISC) compuesto por 8 items agrupados en 8 dimensiones. Resultados: En cuanto a Riesgo de Diabetes tipo 2 que acuden al centro de salud mesa redonda predomino el riesgo bajo con un 34.5%, seguido ligeramente elevado con un 31% alto con 17.% y muy alto 2%, y en sexo se observo que los hombres presetan riesgo mas alto con un 53,4% y las mujerescon un 46,6%. Conclusiones: Según el riesgo de diabetes predomino riesgo bajo seguido de ligeramente elevado, alto, moderado y muy alto.
