Coping strategies related to academic stress in nursing students in the eighth cycle of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2023

Abstract

The present research aimed to determine the relationship between coping strategies and academic stress in eighth cycle nursing students at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2023, the hypothesis was that the coping carried out by Nursing students of the eighth cycle of nursing from the Norbert Wiener University has a significant relationship with academic stress. The work is of a quantitative approach, the method used is deductive, hypothetical deductive, type of applied research and non-experimental cross-correlational research design, whose sample was finite of 110 students. Nursing School of the Norbert Wiener University - Lima 2023, applying as an instrument a questionnaire for each variable under study. The results indicated in the descriptive analysis that 57,3 % develop medium coping strategies and 55,5% high academic stress. The conclusions have shown the existence of a significant relationship between the coping strategy and academic stress in nursing students p=0.017< 0.05.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y el estrés académico en estudiantes de enfermería del octavo ciclo de la universidad Norbert Wiener, lima-2023. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue de enfoque cuantitativo, método deductivo hipotético, tipo aplicada y diseño no experimental de corte transversal correlacional. La muestra fueron 110 estudiantes del octavo ciclo de la Universidad Norberth Wiener, siendo seleccionadas por criterios de inclusión y exclusión de la investigación. Para medir las estrategias de afrontamiento y estrés academico , se utilizó el instrumento de cuestionario de estrategia de afrontamiento (Cae) este comprende 23 ítems agrupados en 3 dimensiones y el cuestionario de estrés academico (sisco) este compre de 15 ítems agrupados en 3 dimensiones.
