Knowledge of the nursing professional in the initial management of the patient with severe head trauma in emergencies in a national hospital in Lima - 2021

Abstract

Objective: The research objective is to determine the knowledge of nursing professionals in the initial management of patients with severe traumatic brain injury in emergency services at a National Hospital in Lima - 2021. Material and Methods: This study will be quantitative, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The population will consist of 60 nursing professionals working in the emergency department of a National Hospital in Lima. The nursing professionals who will participate will be selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria outlined in the research. The technique used in this research will be the survey, through which important data will be collected efficiently and effectively. To measure the knowledge of nursing professionals in the initial management of patients with severe traumatic brain injury, the data collection instrument by Laura A. and Paco S. will be used. This instrument consists of 29 items, divided into 3 dimensions: neurological assessment, hemodynamic evaluation, and drug administration, providing values using the Stanines Scale (high, medium, and low).

Objetivo. de investigación que es determinar el conocimiento del Enfermería en el manejo inicial del paciente con traumatismo encéfalo craneano grave en emergencias en un Hospital Nacional de Lima - 2021 Material y métodos. El presente estudio será de tipo cuantitativo, en cuanto al diseño del estudio será no experimental de corte transversal. la población estará conformada por 60 Enfermería que laboran en emergencias de un Hospital Nacional de Lima. Los Enfermería que participaran serán seleccionados de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión planteados en la investigación. la técnica a usarse en el trabajo de investigación será la encuesta, con la cual se obtendrá datos importantes de manera óptica y eficaz. Para medir el conocimiento del Enfermería en el manejo inicial del paciente con traumatismo encéfalo craneano grave se usara el instrumento de recolección de datos de Laura A. y Paco S. que consta de 29 ítems, divididos en 3 dimensiones: evaluación neurológica, valoración hemodinámica, y administración de fármacos, dando valores mediante Escala de Stanones (alto, medio y bajo).
