Level of knowledge and practice on the taking of the electrocardiogram of the nurses of the thoracic and cardiovascular surgery service of a national hospital Lima 2023

Abstract

Nurses are critical to maintaining a healthy heart. Cardiovascular diseases cause the majority of deaths in the world, which is why nurses are an important part of the health care team. They use electrocardiograms to detect cardiovascular diseases and disorders in their patients. The objective of the study is: To determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and practice on the taking of electrocardiograms of nurses from the thoracic and cardiovascular surgery service of a National Hospital, Lima 2023. Methods: A hypothetical deductive method will be considered. , as well as descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional methods. The sample population will be 80 Nursing professionals who work at the National Hospital of Lima. To measure the accuracy of the data from these tools, the knowledge questionnaire required for the use of the electrocardiogram will be tested. This tool has been shown to have a reliability level of 0.82 due to the Kuder Richarson Coefficient and the Alcántara validation of practical data in decision making. The observation guide used by Acuña and Huali has a reliability level of 0.67 due to Cronbach's Alpha and validation by them.

Las enfermeras son fundamentales para mantener un corazón sano. Las enfermedades cardiovasculares causan la mayoría de las muertes en el mundo, por lo que las enfermeras son una parte importante del equipo de atención médica. Utilizan electrocardiogramas para detectar enfermedades y trastornos cardiovasculares en sus pacientes. El objetivo del estudio es: Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel conocimiento y práctica sobre la toma de electrocardiograma de los enfermeros del servicio de cirugía de tórax y cardio vascular de un Hospital Nacional, Lima 2023. Métodos: Se considerará un método hipotético deductivo, así como métodos descriptivos, correlacionales y transversales. La población de la muestra será de 80 profesionales de Enfermería que laboran en el Hospital Nacional de Lima. Para medir la precisión de los datos de estas herramientas, se probará el cuestionario de conocimiento requerido para el uso del electrocardiograma. Esta herramienta ha demostrado tener un nivel de confiabilidad de 0.82 debido al Coeficiente de Kuder Richarson y la validación de Alcántara de datos prácticos en la toma de decisiones. La guía de observación utilizada por Acuña y Huali tiene un nivel de confiabilidad de 0.67 debido al Alfa de Cronbach y validación por parte de ellos.
