Nursing Emotional Support and Anxiety of the Family Member of the Critical Patient, San Isidro Labrador Geriatric Hospital, 2022.

Abstract

The pandemic has impacted the mental health of people worldwide, especially patients and their relatives, who deserve special attention. Due to the current confinement, they have to be separated from their patients, contributing to increased stress and anxiety. This research project will be developed with the aim of determining the relationship between nursing emotional support and the anxiety of the family members of critical patients at the San Isidro Labrador Geriatric Hospital, 2022. The methodology will have a quantitative approach, descriptive level, and a non-experimental design. The population will consist of 185 family members of critical patients at the San Isidro Labrador Geriatric Hospital, 2022, and the sample will include 125 family members. Data collection will involve the application of two questionnaires representing the studied variables, from which a database will be obtained. This will be analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program, which will generate results through frequency tables and bar charts, both descriptively and inferentially.

La pandemia ha impactado en la salud mental de todo el mundo, especialmente de pacientes y sus parientes; estos últimos merecen especial atención. Debido al confinamiento actual, tienen que estar separados de su paciente, contribuyendo a un mayor estrés y ansiedad en ellos. El presente trabajo proyecto de investigación se desarrollará con el objetivo de determinar la relación que existe entre el apoyo emocional de enfermería y la ansiedad del familiar del paciente Critico, Hospital Geriátrico San Isidro Labrador, 2022. Se trabajará con una metodología con enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo y un diseño no experimental, en donde la población serán 185 familiares de pacientes Critico, Hospital Geriátrico San Isidro Labrador, 2022 y la muestra 125 familiares. En la recolección de los datos se procederá con la aplicación de dos cuestionarios que representan a las variables estudiadas, de done se obtendrá una base de datos que será analizad por el programa Spss 25.0, el cual arrojará resultados en base a ello, a través de tablas de frecuencia y gráficos de barras, esto de manera descriptiva como inferencial.
