Burnout syndrome and job satisfaction of the nursing professional of the emergency area of the Ate Vitarte emergency hospital 2020

Abstract

The Pan American Health Organization, PAHO, indicates that there is a high rate of suffering from stress; therefore, this human group meets the excessive demand of patients, since it is exposed to this disease, therefore, wellness policies were presented that affect the prevention of Burnout and the reduction of the symptoms of this pathology, associated with job satisfaction.

Although reports on the correlation between the variables Job Satisfaction and the variable Burnout Syndrome are scarce, in our country, the average prevalence in health centers is an alarming 12.5% ​​of professionals with Burnout Syndrome, although in the interior of the country the results are heterogeneous, 12.5; they always approach the eighth part of the total. Likewise, being the Ate Vitarte Emergency Hospital, a new hospital, it is observed that Health professionals decrease their effectiveness at work, so the general objective was to determine the relationship between burnout syndrome and job satisfaction of the nursing professional in the emergency area of ​​​​the Ate Vitarte Emergency Hospital in 2020.

"La Organización Panamericana de la Salud, OPS, indica que existe un gran índice de padecimiento de estrés; por lo que este grupo humano atiende la demanda excesiva de pacientes, pues está expuesto a esta enfermedad, por lo tanto, se presentó políticas de bienestar que incida en la prevención del Burnout y la reducción de los síntomas de esta patología, asociado a la satisfacción laboral. Aunque los reportes sobre la correlación entre las variables Satisfacción Laboral y la variable Síndrome de Burnout y son escasos, en nuestro país, la prevalencia promedio en los centros de salud es de un alarmante 12,5% de profesionales con Síndrome de Burnout, aunque en el interior del país los resultados son heterogéneos, 12,5; siempre se aproximan a la octava parte del total. Asimismo, siendo el Hospital de emergencia Ate Vitarte, un nosocomio nuevo, se observa que los profesionales de la Salud disminuyen su efectividad en el trabajo, por lo que el objetivo general fue determinar la relación entre el síndrome de burnout y satisfacción laboral del Enfermería del área de emergencia del Hospital Emergencia Ate Vitarte en el año 2020
