Level of knowledge and its relationship with the practice of handwashing in the nurses of the internal medicine service of the national hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Lima 2023

Abstract

Objective: To analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of handwashing in nurses from the Internal Medicine Service of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital in Lima 2023. Methodology: A quantitative, applied, nonexperimental, correlational study approach was developed. cross-section; The population was 60 nursing graduates from the Internal Medicine Service of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Lima National Hospital. Results. In the study according to the sociodemographic characteristics of the nurses; In age they were between 20 and 25 years old 7%, from 26 to 30 years old 36%, from 36 to over 40%. In relation to sex, 75% were female and 25% male. The technical dimension of hand hygiene with Hand washing practice, it was found that there is high knowledge, but with incorrect hand washing practice in 56.7%. The dimension moments of hand hygiene with Hand washing practice, it was found that there is high knowledge, but with incorrect hand washing practice in 56.7%. Objetivo: Analizar la relación del nivel de conocimiento con la práctica de lavado de manos en las enfermeras del Servicio de Medicina Interna del Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Lima 2023.
