Level of dependency and its relationship with the quality of life of the elderly hospitalized at the central hospital of the Peruvian Air Force Miraflores - Lima 2023

Abstract

Objective: to determine the relationship between the level of dependency and the quality of life in older adults hospitalized in the Medical Service of the Central Hospital of the Air Force of Peru, Miraflores Lima, 2023. Material and method: applied with a quantitative approach; hypothetical-deductive, non-experimental, cross-sectional method. The population and sample will be made up of elderly users who are hospitalized in the medical service of the Central Hospital of the Peruvian Air Force, which must meet certain exclusion and inclusion criteria. For the level of dependency variable, Katz indices and Lawton indices will be measured; in the quality-of-life variable they will be measured with the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, then they will proceed to be applied by means of the Sperman Rho parametric correlation tests in the IBM SPSS 25.0 program, while the research background with the state of the art of the study will be taken into account in the interpretations and discussions of the entire result.

Objetivo: determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de dependencia y la calidad de vida en los adultos mayores hospitalizados en el Servicio de Medicina del Hospital Central de la Fuerza Aérea del Perú, Miraflores Lima, 2023. Material y método: aplicada con enfoque cuantitativo; método hipotético deductivo, no experimental, transversal. La población y muestra estarán compuestas por usuarios adultos mayores que se encuentran hospitalizados en servicio de medicina del Hospital Central de la Fuerza Aérea del Perú el cual deben cumplir ciertos criterios de exclusión e inclusión. Para la variable nivel de dependencia se medirá Índices de Katz e índices de Lawton; en la variable calidad de vida se medirán con cuestionario WHOQOL-BREF, luego se procederán a ser aplicados mediante las pruebas paramétricas de correlaciones de Rho de Sperman en el programa IBM SPSS 25.0., en tanto que el antecedente de investigación con los estados del arte del estudio se tendrá en cuenta en las interpretaciones y las discusiones de todo el resultado
