Practice of physical activity with quality of life in renal patients at the Divino Niño renal prevention and treatment unit clinic, Lince - Lima 2022

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the relationship between physical activity and quality of life in renal patients at the Renal Prevention and Treatment Unit Clinic, Divino Niño, Lince - Lima 2022. Materials and Methods: This was a quantitative study with a descriptive and non-experimental cross-sectional design, where the general finite population accessed consisted of 78 patients from the clinic receiving hemodialysis treatment in both weekly sessions at the Renal Prevention and Treatment Unit Clinic, Divino Niño. The tool chosen to study both variables was a survey with its respective instrument. For the first variable, a questionnaire consisting of 7 questions was used, distributed across 3 dimensions: intense activity, moderate activity, and walking. For the second variable, a questionnaire with 20 questions was employed, distributed across 3 dimensions: physical, psychological, and social. Results: The application of Spearman’s Rho statistic revealed a significance of less than .05 (p=<.05), along with a coefficient of .783. Conclusions: A relationship was found between the practice of physical activity and quality of life in renal patients at the Renal Prevention and Treatment Unit Clinic, Divino Niño, Lince - Lima 2022.

Objetivo: analizar la relación que existe entre la práctica de la actividad física con la calidad de vida en el paciente renal de Clínica Unidad de Prevención y Tratamiento Renal Divino Niño, Lince - Lima 2022. Materiales y Métodos: Fue una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño descriptivo y no experimental de corte transversal, donde la población finita general a la que se accedió fue de 78 pacientes de clínica que ejecutan su tratamiento de hemodiálisis en ambas secuencias de la semana, Clínica Unidad de Prevención y Tratamiento Renal Divino Niño, la herramienta que se escogió para realizar este estudio de ambas variables fue la encuesta junto con su respectivo instrumento, para la primera variable fue un cuestionario conformado por un total de 07 preguntas, las cuales se encontraban distribuidas en 3 dimensiones, siendo estas la actividad Intensa, actividad moderada y caminar; para el estudio de la segunda variable se empleó un cuestionario compuesto de 20 preguntas, distribuidas en 3 dimensiones: Física, Psicológica y social.
