Level of knowledge and practices on exclusive breastfeeding of primiparous mothers, in joint accommodation of a public hospital, Chincha, 2023

Abstract

The present project will have as a general objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices on exclusive breastfeeding of primiparous mothers, of the joint accommodation service. The population object of the study will be made up of 80 primiparous mothers hospitalized in the rooming-in area. The study method that will be used is the hypothetical deductive, applied type of non-experimental cross-sectional design. For the collection of data, the survey and observation will be used as a technique; as an instrument "Questionnaire to assess the level of knowledge of breastfeeding", for the observation a "Checklist to evaluate the practice in breastfeeding" that Astocondor Diana used in 2021 in Perú, the validity of these instruments was found by means of the Aiken's V. coefficient obtaining a score of 1 and a significance level p=0.008, for which it was considered valid, for the reliability analysis the Kuder Richardson coefficient was used, the questionnaire reached a reliability of 0.99 and the checklist has a reliability of 0.85, demonstrating that both instruments obtained a very high reliability, in turn the relevant statistical tests will be used to confirm the hypothesis. For the processing and subsequent analysis of the data obtained, the latest version of the SSPS Statistic program and the Microsoft Excel software will be used to present the statistical tables. Spearman's coefficient will be used to measure the correlation of the variables.

El proyecto tendrá como objetivo general: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y prácticas sobre la lactancia materna exclusiva de madres primíparas, del servicio de alojamiento conjunto. La población estará conformada por 80 madres primíparas del área de alojamiento conjunto. El método de estudio que empleó es hipotético deductivo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, corte transversal. La recopilación de datos se utilizó como técnica encuesta y observación; como instrumento “Cuestionario para evaluar el nivel de conocimiento de la lactancia materna”, para la observación “Lista de cotejo para evaluar la práctica en la lactancia materna” que usó Astocondor Diana el 2021 en Perú, la validez de estos instrumentos lo halló mediante el coeficiente V. de Aiken obteniendo una puntuación de 1 y nivel de significación p=0.008, se consideró válido, el análisis de confiabilidad utilizó el coeficiente Kuder Richardson, alcanzó una confiabilidad de 0.99 y la lista de cotejo de 0.85, ambos instrumentos obtuvieron una confiabilidad muy alta, emplearán las pruebas estadísticas pertinentes para confirmar la hipótesis. El procesamiento y posterior análisis de datos obtenidos, utilizará el programa SSPS Statistic y software Microsoft Excel para presentar los cuadros estadísticos, la correlación de las variables se utilizará el coeficiente de Spearman.
