Emotional intelligence and work performance of the nursing professional of the hospital of Chancay and sbs, Huaral, 2022

Abstract

The objective of this study is: “To determine the relationship that exists between emotional intelligence and the job performance of the nursing professional.” Population: There will be 131 nurses (91 appointed, 6 contracted and 34 CAS COVID) who work at the Chancay and SBS hospital, Huaral. Sample: It will be made up of 98 nursing care personnel, probabilistic sampling for convenience will be applied. Methodological design: The type of research will be applied. The method will be deductive, observational, descriptive and transversal. The design that will be used will be correlational. Instruments: To evaluate the variable: “Emotional Intelligence”, the questionnaire modified by Moreano in 2018, reliable through Cronbach's Alpha with 0.801, will be applied and to evaluate the variable: “Work Performance”, the questionnaire modified by Laureano and Campos will be applied. in 2021, reliable through Cronbach's Alpha with 0.953. The data collection technique will be the survey. Data processing and analysis: It will be carried out through the application of the statistical description that will present the results according to levels and the inferential statistics through the application of the Spearman's Rho test to verify the hypothesis raised in the study.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo: “Determinar la relación que existe entre la inteligencia emocional y el desempeño laboral del profesional de enfermería”. Población: Será de 131 enfermeras (91 nombradas, 6 contratadas y 34 CAS COVID) que trabajan en el hospital de Chancay y SBS, Huaral. Muestra: Estará conformada por 98 personal asistencial de enfermería, se aplicará el muestreo probabilístico por conveniencia. Diseño metodológico: El tipo de investigación será de aplicada. El método será deductivo, observacional, descriptivo y trasversal. El diseño que se utilizará será correlacional. Instrumentos: Para evaluar la variable: “Inteligencia Emocional”, se aplicará el cuestionario modificado por Moreano en el 2018, confiable mediante Alpha de Cronbach con 0.801 y para evaluar la variable: “Desempeño Laboral”, se aplicará el cuestionario modificado por Laureano y Campos en el 2021, confiable mediante Alpha de Cronbach con 0.953. La técnica de recolección de datos será la encuesta. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: Se realizará mediante la aplicación de la descripción estadística que presentará según niveles los resultados y la estadística inferencial mediante la aplicación de la prueba Rho de Spearman para comprobar la hipótesis planteada en el estudio.
