Family needs of patients admitted to the critical care unit of a clinic and a hospital in Lima - 2020

Abstract

Objective: To compare the family needs of patients admitted to the critical care unit of a clinic and a hospital in Lima – 2020. Materials and methods: This research will be quantitative and comparative, with a descriptive cross-sectional design. The finite population will consist of 100 family members of patients admitted to the critical care unit during 2020—50 from the clinic and 50 from the hospital. No sampling will be performed as the population is small and accessible. The technique used was a survey, and the data collection instrument was the Family Needs Questionnaire (CCFNI), which consists of 5 dimensions and 45 items.

Objetivo: Comparar las necesidades familiares de pacientes ingresados a la unidad de cuidados críticos de una clínica y de un hospital de Lima – 2020.

Materiales y métodos: La presente investigación será de enfoque cuantitativo, comparativo, en cuanto al diseño metodológico es una investigación descriptiva de corte transversal. La población finita estará constituida por 100 familiares de la clínica (50) y del Hospital (50) de los pacientes ingresados en la unidad de cuidados críticos durante el 2020. No se realizará muestreo por ser una población pequeña y accesible. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el instrumento de recolección de datos fue el Cuestionario de Necesidades Familiares o CCFNI, el cual tiene 5 dimensiones y 45 ítems.
