Knowledge and practices of the nursing professional in aspiration of secretions in intubated patients in the intensive care unit public hospitals Lima, 2023

Abstract

This research aims to determine how the knowledge of nursing professionals is related to the practice of aspiration of secretions in intubated patients in the Intensive Care Unit of public hospitals Lima, 2023. The study ·is of a quantitative, cross-sectional approach, non-experimental, correlational design, the population consisted of ·95 nursing professionals, the instruments used are the valid and reliable survey and observation guide. The information collected was transferred from the Excel data matrix to the statistical program SPSS version 27, which will allow obtaining the results in tables, graphs to achieve data interpretation, the Chi-square test will be applied for data analysis, there is enough evidence of statistical significance of 5% (p≤0.05).

Objetivo: Determinar cómo se relaciona el conocimiento de los profesionales de enfermería con la práctica de la aspiración de secreciones en pacientes intubados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Hospitales públicos, Lima 2023. El estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, transversal, diseño no experimental, correlacional, la población estuvo constituida por 95 profesionales en enfermería, los instrumentos empleados son la encuesta y la guía de observación válidos y confiables. La información recopilada se transfirió de la matriz de datos de Excel al programa estadístico SPSS versión 27, lo cual permitirá obtener los resultados en tablas, gráficos para lograr la interpretación de datos, se aplicará la prueba Chi cuadrado para el análisis de datos, existe suficiente evidencia de significancia “estadística de 5% (p≤0.05).”
