Psychosocial risks and burnout syndrome in nursing staff in the emergency area of a hospital in Pasco, 2024

Abstract

The work environment must be conducive to the performance of work tasks. The International Labour Organization aims to ensure the safety and health of workers by preventing psychosocial risks to avoid triggering long-term diseases, which can result in absenteeism. Objective: To identify the relationship between psychosocial risks and burnout syndrome in nursing staff in the emergency department of a hospital in Pasco, 2024. Methodology: The research will be based on a hypothetical deductive method, with a quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental design, and a cross-sectional descriptive-correlational level. The population will consist of 100 individuals with a non-probability convenience sample. The technique will be a survey, and the instrument will be two questionnaires: the first assesses psychosocial risks using the CENSOPAS COPSOQ, a validated medium version of the CoPsoQ-ISTAS21, with a reliability coefficient (alpha) >0.70. This questionnaire contains 112 questions grouped into 8 categories that evaluate 20 psychosocial dimensions. The second questionnaire is the Maslach Burnout Inventory, with a reliability close to 90%, consisting of 22 items in the form of affirmative questions. It measures the three aspects of Burnout Syndrome. The execution of this study will have the approval of the research committee of the Norbert Wiener University. Analysis plan: Once the questionnaire is applied, the responses will be coded, then entered into Microsoft Excel 2019, and analyzed using the SPSS statistical software version 27.0.

El ambiente del desarrollo de la jornada laboral debe de ser favorable para el desempeño de estas, la entidad Internacional del Trabajo busca garantizar la seguridad y salud de esta con la prevención de los riesgos psicosociales para evitar desencadenar enfermedades a lo largo del tiempo, con ellos ausencia laboral. Objetivo: Identificar la relación que existe entre los riesgos psicosociales con el síndrome de burnout en personal de enfermería del área de emergencia de un hospital de Pasco, 2024. Metodología: La investigación estará basada en un método hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básica, diseño no experimental, corte transversal de nivel descriptivo correlacional. La población estará compuesta 100 personas con muestra no probabilística por conveniencia, técnica será una encuesta y el instrumento dos cuestionarios el primero evalúa los riesgos psicosociales CENSOPAS COPSOQ, versión media validada del CoPsoQ-ISTAS21, con un valor de confiabilidad alfa >0.70, el mismo que contiene 112 preguntas agrupadas en 8 categorías evalúan 20 dimensiones psicosociales y el segundo cuestionario es el de Maslach Inventory con una fiabilidad cercana al 90% constituido por 22 ítems en forma de preguntas afirmativas, mide los 3 aspectos del síndrome de Burnout, para la ejecución se contará con aprobación del comité de investigación de la Universidad Norbert Wiener. Plan de análisis: Una vez aplicado el cuestionario se procederá a codificar las respuestas, luego se pasará al programa de Microsoft Excel 2019, se digitará en el paquete estadístico SPSS versión 27.0.
