Quality of life and functional capacity of hospitalized older adults in the medicine service, EsSalud hospital, 2022

Abstract

Analyze the relationship between the quality of life and the functional capacity of older adults hospitalized in the medicine service of the Aurelio Diaz Ufano Y Peral Hospital, San Juan De Lurigancho, Lima 2022. Material and method: It is a study with a quantitative approach, correlational scope, non-experimental design, with cross-section. The population and sample will be composed of older adult patients hospitalized in the medicine service of an Essalud Hospital, who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. For the quality of life variable, it will be evaluated with the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, while for the functional capacity variable, the Barthel Index will be measured. Finally, Sperman's parametric Rho correlation test will be applied in the IBM SPSS 25.0 program, while the research background and state of the art of the study will be taken into account for the interpretation and discussion of the results. .

Analizar la relación entre la calidad de vida y la capacidad funcional de los adultos mayores hospitalizados en el servicio de medicina del Hospital Aurelio Diaz Ufano Y Peral, San Juan De Lurigancho, Lima 2022. Material y método: Es un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance correlacional, diseño no experimental, con corte transversal. La población y muestra estará compuesta por los pacientes adultos mayores hospitalizados en el servicio de medicina de un Hospital Essalud, que cumplan los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Para la variable calidad de vida se evaluará con el cuestionario WHOQOL-BREF, en tanto, para la variable capacidad funcional se medirá el Índice de Barthel. Por último, se procederá a aplicar la prueba paramétrica de correlación de Rho de Sperman en el programa IBM SPSS 25.0., mientras que los antecedentes de investigación y el estado del arte del estudio se tendrán en cuenta para la interpretación y la discusión de los resultados.
