Knowledge about pressure injuries and preventive practices of nursing professionals from the Intensive Care Unit of the Arzobispo Loayza Hospital

Abstract

Pressure Injuries (PPI) are a health problem with a very significant influence on morbidity and mortality rates and the living conditions of affected patients and their families. The theoretical and practical knowledge of nursing to prevent pressure ulcers, offer a clear idea of the current issue reiterated in the intensive care department, in this sense there are other institutional statistical departments that perform continuous control. The objective will be to determine how knowledge about pressure injuries is related to the preventive practices of nursing professionals in the intensive care unit with a Methodology: A study was designed with applied typology, non-experimental, and correlational-cross-sectional, with prospective projection, the population base was 50 nurses working in the ICU. The instrument: the survey will be based on the technique, distributed in 2 instruments that will have their corresponding validation by experts, the first questionnaire will have 4 dimensions, with 16 items, its reliability by Cronbach's Alpha was 0.795, and the second questionnaire will have 4 dimensions, with 25 items, its reliability was Cronbach's Alpha of 0.723.

Las Lesiones por Presión (LPP) son una problemática de salud con una influencia muy significativa en las tasas de morbimortalidades y las condiciones de vida de los pacientes afectados y sus familiares. El saber teórico y práctico de la enfermería para prevenir lesiones por presión, ofrecen una idea clara en la actualidad del tema reiterado en el departamento de cuidados intensivos, en tal sentido hay otros departamentos estadísticos institucionales que realizan contraloría continua. Se tendrá como Objetivo: determinar cómo los conocimientos sobre las lesiones por presión se relacionan con las practicas preventivas de los profesionales de enfermería de la unidad de cuidados intensivos con una Metodología: Se diseñó un estudio con tipología aplicada, de corte no experimental, y correlacional transversal, con proyección prospectiva, la base poblacional fue de 50 enfermeros que laboran en la UCI. El instrumento: se basará en la técnica la encuesta, distribuida en 2 instrumentos que tendrán su correspondiente validación por expertos, el primer cuestionario tendrá 4 dimensiones, con 16 ítems, su confiabilidad por Alfa de Cronbach fue de 0.795 y el segundo cuestionario tendrá 4 dimensiones, con 25 ítems, su confiabilidad fue de Alfa de Cronbach de 0.723.
