Self-management and family functionality in patients with type II diabetes mellitus who attend a level I-4 health facility.

Abstract

Diabetes, a non-communicable disease of priority in public health, does not respect the economic level or the country to which you belong, currently there are 463 million people affected and it is estimated that by 2030 it will be 578 million and by 2045 700 million, it requires a lot of family support, such as making decisions and behavioral changes necessary for self-management of diabetes; When you receive the diagnosis of diabetes it involves important changes in the family, related to their customs and care of their disease, family support is important for monitoring it and the changes that occur. Objective: To determine the relationship between self-management and family functionality in patients with type II diabetes mellitus who attend a level I-4 health facility in the Comas district 2022. Methodology: This research will use a hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, of an applied type, with a correlational design of an observational type and cross-section. The “Self-management of chronic diseases” questionnaire and the “Family Apgar” questionnaire will be used. Ethical principles will be taken into account, and informed consent will be requested from all participants.

La diabetes, enfermedad no trasmisibles de prioridad en la salud pública, no respeta el nivel económico ni el país al que perteneces, en la actualidad se tiene 463 millones de personas afectadas y se estima que para el 2030 será de 578 millones y para el 2045 de 700 millones, requiere mucho del soporte de la familia, como tomar decisiones y cambios de comportamiento necesarios para el automanejo de la diabetes; cuando se recibe el diagnóstico de la diabetes involucra que sé cambios importantes en la familia, relacionado con sus costumbres y atención de su enfermedad, es importante el soporte familiar para el seguimiento del mismo y los cambios que se den. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el automanejo y funcionalidad familiar en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo II que acuden a un establecimiento de salud nivel I-4 del distrito de Comas 2022. Metodología: la presente investigación utilizará método hipotético- deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, con diseño correlacional de tipo observacional y corte transversal. Se utilizará el cuestionario “Automanejo en enfermedades crónicas” y el cuestionario “Apgar familiar”. Se tomará en cuenta los principios éticos, así mismo se pedirá su consentimiento informado a todos los participantes.
