Needs of relatives of hospitalized patients in the intensive care unit of the Huacho district hospital-2020.

Abstract

Objective: Determine the needs of family members of hospitalized patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Huacho District Hospital-2020. Materials and Methods: A quantitative approach with a descriptive, cross-sectional design will be used. The population will consist of 100 family members of patients hospitalized in the ICU of the Huacho District Hospital during August and September of the current year. The "Critical Care Family Needs Inventory" (CCFNI), which has been adapted, used, and validated in the Peruvian population in the Vásquez study, will be applied. Regarding reliability, a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.90 was obtained, so the instrument is reliable. The data will be processed using SPSS 26.0 statistical software. Ethical Considerations: In conducting this study, informed consent will be obtained from the participating family members, with clear information provided, explaining that their participation will be confidential. Moreover, bioethical principles of justice, beneficence, non-maleficence, and autonomy will be strictly applied.

Objetivo: Determinar las necesidades de los familiares de pacientes hospitalizados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos del Hospital del distrito de Huacho-2020. Material y Método: Enfoque cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo y de corte transversal, cuya población estará constituida por 100 familiares de los pacientes hospitalizados en la Unidad de cuidados intensivos del Hospital del Distrito de Huacho en el periodo agosto y setiembre del presente año. Se utilizará el instrumento “Critical Care Family Needs Inventory” (CCFNI) que sido adaptado, utilizado y validado en la población peruana en el estudio de Vásquez. En relación a la confiabilidad se obtuvo un Alpha de Cronbach de 0.90 por lo tanto es confiable, la información será procesada en el software estadístico SPSS 26.0. Consideraciones éticas: Para la ejecución del presente estudio se tendrá en cuenta el consentimiento informado de los familiares participantes, previa información clara, se le explicará que su participación será confidencial. Además, se aplicará de manera estricta los principios bioéticos de justicia, beneficencia, no maleficencia y autonomía.
