Level of emotional overload in caregivers of patients with schizophrenia in a hospital of EsSalud de Lima 2021

Abstract

The main objective of the study is to determine the level of emotional overload in caregivers of patients with schizophrenia in an Es Salud 2021 Hospital. The research has a quantitative descriptive approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. With a population of 120 families and a sample of 50 caregiver participants from the mental health area, the instrument that will be applied is the Zarit scale made up of 22 items grouped into three dimensions that will measure the level of caregiver overload, impact of care, interpersonal relationship, self-efficacy expectations, and the instrument's reliability level of 0.92 Cronbach's alpha.

El estudio tiene como objetivo principal determinar el nivel de sobrecarga emocional en los cuidadores de pacientes con esquizofrenia de un Hospital de Es salud 2021.La investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo descriptivo y diseño no experimental de corte trasversal. Con una población de 120 familias y una muestra de 50 participantes cuidadores del área de salud mental, el instrumento que se aplicará es la escala de Zarit conformado por 22 ítems agrupada en tres dimensiones que medirán el nivel de sobrecarga del cuidador, impacto del cuidado, relación interpersonal, expectativas de autoeficacia, y el nivel de confiabilidad del instrumento de 0.92 de alfa de Cronbach.
