Knowledge about the self-care of the central venous catheter and adherence to the treatment of the patient with hemodialysis in the hospital national Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen – lima, 2021

Abstract

Determine the relationship between knowledge about central venous catheter self-care and adherence to treatment in patients with hemodialysis at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital - Lima, 2021. The study has a quantitative approach with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. It will involve 90 patients with central venous catheters in the hemodialysis area of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital. Two questionnaires will be applied: one to measure knowledge about self-care with vascular access, consisting of 27 items with three alternatives, divided into 5 dimensions: Personal Care and Hygiene (8 items), Catheter Care during Bathing (8 items), Symptoms of Catheter Affectation (5 items), Catheter Damage (3 items), Actions for Catheter Removal (3 items); and the other instrument to measure the variable of adherence to hemodialysis treatment, consisting of 23 items with three Likert-type alternatives, divided into five dimensions: Factors related to the patient (4 items), Socioeconomic factors (5 items), Factors related to the provider, the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and the system (8 items), and Factors related to therapy (6 items).

Determinar la relación del conocimiento sobre el autocuidado del catéter venoso central y la adherencia al tratamiento del paciente con hemodiálisis en el Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen- Lima, 2021; el estudio tiene un enfoque cuantitativo con diseño no experimental y corte transversal; Contara con 90 pacientes portadores de catéter venoso central en el área de hemodiálisis del hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen, a quienes se les aplicara dos cuestionario, uno para medir el conocimiento sobre el autocuidado con acceso vascular que consta de 27 ítems de tres alternativas conformado por 5 dimensiones : Cuidado e Higiene Personal (8 ítems), Cuidado del Catéter durante el Baño (8 ítems), Síntomas por Afectación del Catéter (5 ítems), ,Afectación del Catéter por Rotura (3 ítems), Acciones por Salida del Catéter (3 ítems); y el otro instrumento para medir la variable la adherencia al tratamiento de Hemodiálisis, constituida de 23 ítems de tres alternativas tipo Likert, con cinco dimensiones : Factores vinculados con el paciente (4 ítems), Factores socioeconómicos (5 ítems), Factores vinculados con el proveedor, el equipo multidisciplinario de salud y el sistema (8 ítems) y Factores vinculados con la terapia (6 ítems).
