Coping strategies and quality of life in patients of the dialysis unit of the Daniel Alcides Carrión hospital, 2021

Abstract

Objective: In my professional practice, especially in the field of nephrology nursing, I have been able to perceive that patients in the dialysis unit go through extremely difficult, complicated and painful processes, a situation that generates great physical and emotional wear and tear and a strong impact that unbalances the various aspects of their lives, due to the limitations that arise, making it necessary to use strategies to assume this new condition and avoid falling into situations of stress or depression that may further harm their situation. However, there are various barriers that complicate patients in the dialysis unit to assume coping strategies that help them improve their quality of life, minimizing the possibility of complications, promoting adherence and prolonging their life. From that perspective, this research seeks to determine the relationship between coping strategies and quality of life in patients of the Dialysis Unit of the Daniel Alcides Carrión Hospital, 2021

Objetivo: en mi práctica profesional, especialmente en el ámbito de enfermería nefrológica, he podido percibir que los pacientes de la unidad de diálisis pasan por procesos sumamente difíciles, complicados y dolorosos, situación que les genera un gran desgaste físico y emocional y un fuerte impacto que desequilibra los diversos aspectos de su vida, debido a las limitaciones que surgen, haciendo necesario el uso de estrategias para asumir esta nueva condición y evitar caer en situaciones de estrés o depresión que puedan perjudicar aún más su situación. Sin embargo, existen diversas barreras que complican a los pacientes de la unidad de diálisis para que asuman estrategias de afrontamiento que les ayude a mejorar su calidad de vida, minimizando la posibilidad de complicaciones, fomentar la adherencia y prolongar su vida. Desde esa perspectiva, esta investigación busca determinar cuál es la relación entre estrategias de afrontamiento y calidad de vida en pacientes de la Unidad de Diálisis del Hospital Daniel Alcides Carrión, 2021
