Quality of nursing care and its relationship with postoperative patient satisfaction in the Surgery Service of a Hospital in Piura, 2024

Abstract

The main purpose of this research project is to analyze the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the satisfaction of postoperative patients in the Surgery Service of a Hospital in Piura during the year 2023. The sample will consist of 90 patients who have undergone general surgery in said hospital. The hypothetical-deductive approach, characteristic of quantitative research, will be employed to identify specific aspects of the studied reality. Data collection will be carried out through surveys, using instruments such as a nursing care quality questionnaire, validated with a binomial test result of 0.070 and a reliability of 0.798 measured by Cronbach's Alpha, and another instrument on patient satisfaction with a reliability of 0.93 measured by Cronbach's Alpha. For data processing and analysis, a specific statistical program will be used.

El propósito principal de este proyecto de investigación será analizar la relación entre la calidad de los cuidados de enfermería y la satisfacción de los pacientes postoperados en el Servicio de Cirugía de un Hospital en Piura durante el año 2023. La muestra consistirá en 90 pacientes que han pasado por cirugía general en dicho hospital. Se empleará el enfoque hipotético deductivo, característico de investigaciones cuantitativas, para identificar aspectos específicos de la realidad estudiada. La recopilación de datos se llevará a cabo mediante encuestas, utilizando como instrumentos un cuestionario de calidad del cuidado, validado con una prueba binomial de 0.070 y una confiabilidad por Alpha de Cronbach de 0.798, y otro instrumento sobre la satisfacción del paciente con una confiabilidad de 0.93 por Alpha de Cronbach. Para el procesamiento y análisis de los datos obtenidos en el estudio, se empleará un programa específico.
