Risk of falls in elderly patients of the UCEM service, of the emergency hospital of Villa el Salvador Lima, 2020.

Abstract

The research project aimed to determine the risk of falls in elderly patients in the UCEM service at the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital - Lima, 2020. Materials and Methods: A quantitative approach was used because the main variable is expressed numerically. The methodological design is descriptive and cross-sectional because it describes the fall risk of elderly patients as it exists in the real context, with data collection occurring at a specific moment in time at the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital. The population will consist of 54 elderly patients from the UCEM service, and the population is finite. This research will involve elderly patients from the UCEM service at the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital. The data will be organized and processed into a table created using the SPSS 24.0 statistical software. This process will be carried out carefully to avoid errors and missing values during the analysis, following the coding order established for each patient and taking into account the corresponding items for each dimension included in the instrument.

El proyecto de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el riesgo de caídas en los pacientes adultos mayores del servicio de UCEM del Hospital de Emergencia de Villa el Salvador- Lima,2020. Materiales y Métodos enfoque cuantitativo porque la variable principal es expresada numéricamente. En cuanto al diseño metodológico es una investigación descriptiva de corte transversal, porque se describe el riesgo de caídas de los pacientes adultos mayores tal como se da el contexto de la realidad y la recolección de los datos se dio en determinado momento en el hospital de emergencia de Villa El Salvador haciendo un corte en el tiempo, La población estará constituida por 54 adultos mayores del servicio de UCEM, la población es finita, En esta investigación participarán adultos mayores del servicio de UCEM del hospital de emergencia de Villa El Salvador los datos serán organizados y procesados a una tabla elaborado en el software estadístico SPSS 24.0, este proceso se realizará cuidadosamente para así evitar errores y valores perdidos al momento del análisis, siguiendo el orden de la codificación establecida por cada paciente y teniendo en cuenta los ítems correspondientes a cada una de las dimensiones que contempla el instrumento.
