Knowledge of COVID-19 and its Relationship with Prevention in the Spread Among Mine Workers in Pasco 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge of COVID-19 and prevention in its spread among mine workers in Pasco, 2021. Methodology: This research will use the hypothetico-deductive method, which will allow for the deduction of propositions from the hypothesis. Therefore, this type of research, with a trend and orientation, is a classical investigation or a quantitative approach, as it is aimed at generating new knowledge with the goal of expanding the research study. It is considered prospective and cross-sectional because it will be carried out on the facts that will be observed and recorded at a single point in time during the study. Finally, for the analysis and scope of its results, the study will be correlational, as it will measure the degree of relationships between two or more variables, to understand the behavior of one variable and the behavior of another. The study population will consist of 1,055 workers from the mining company. The sample will include 382 male and female mine workers of different ages and years of service in various mining operations areas, who wish to participate in the study after giving informed consent and meeting inclusion and exclusion criteria. The first variable will be measured using a questionnaire, and the second variable will be measured using a checklist. Both instruments will be validated by expert judges, and reliability testing will be performed to ensure their usefulness for future research.

Metodología: Esta investigación utilizará el método hipotético-deductivo, que permitirá deducir las proposiciones de la hipótesis. Por ello, este tipo de investigación de enfoque cuantitativa, estará orientada a generar un nuevo conocimiento con el objetivo de ampliar el estudio de investigación; por tanto, se considera como prospectivo y de tipo transversal, porque estará ejecutado en los hechos que se observarán y se registrarán en un solo momento del estudio y finalmente para el análisis y alcance de sus resultados, será correlacional, porque mide el grado de relaciones que existen entre dos o más variables. Razón por la cual, la población de estudio estará representada por 1055 trabajadores de la empresa minera. La muestra estará conformada por 382 trabajadores mineros masculinos y femeninos, de diferentes edades y años de servicio, en las diferentes áreas de las operaciones mineras, quienes desean participar en el estudio, luego del consentimiento informado y que cumplan con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Para medir la primera variable será con un cuestionario y la segunda variable por medio de una lista de cotejo, ambos instrumentos serán validados por jueces expertos y se aplicará la prueba de la confiabilidad y sirva a las futuras investigaciones
