Relationship between resilience level and quality of life in breast cancer patients in the palliative care service at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases in 2021

Abstract

The research method will be the hypothetical deductive one, the research is of an applied type and the study will be of a transversal design with a correlational scope. The sample will be made up of 100 people from the palliative medicine and pain treatment service of a National Institute of Lima, selected by non-probabilistic sampling. To collect information, the Wagnild and Young resilience level surveys and the EORTC QLQ C3O Quality of Life survey will be used. For data collection, due to the current global situation; It has been considered to carry out the survey through virtual means such as telephone calls. Prior to the participants' responses, the researcher will introduce himself, read the informed consent and explain the survey and its respective completion. Once all the information has been collected, the data will be recorded in the SPSS statistical program. Furthermore, as our study has a quantitative and bivariate approach, it will be carried out in a differentiated way using the hypotheses. Since the variables are qualitative (non-parametric), the CHI2 analysis will be used and for the quantitative variables, the Students' Test will be used.

El método de investigación será el hipotético deductivo, la investigación es de tipo aplicada y el estudio será de diseño trasversal con alcance correlacional. La muestra estará conformada por 100 personas del servicio de medicina paliativa y tratamiento del dolor de un Instituto Nacional de Lima, seleccionadas por un muestreo no probabilístico. Para la recolección de información se utilizarán encuestas nivel de resiliencia de Wagnild y Young y la de Calidad de vida EORTC QLQ C3O. Para la recolección de datos, debido a la coyuntura mundial que se atraviesa; se ha considerado, realizar la encuesta a través de medios virtuales como llamadas telefónicas. Previo a las respuestas de los participantes, se hará la presentación del investigador, la lectura del consentimiento informado y la explicación sobre la encuesta como su respectivo llenado. Una vez recolectada toda la información, se registrarán los datos al programa estadístico SPSS. Además, como nuestro estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo y bivariado, se realizará de modo diferenciado utilizando las hipótesis. Siendo las variables cualitativas (no paramétricas) se empleará el análisis de CHI2 y para las cuantitativas se empleará el Test de Students.
