Biosafety standards in the care of patients used by health personnel of the surgical center of the Hospital Arzobispo Loayza, ward 6- II, Lima, 2021

Abstract

Introduction: According to the WHO (World Health Organization), biosafety standards are those rules and health guidelines implemented to address the well-being and safety of professionals who face dangers of organic, synthetic and contact origin. Objective: Determine the level of compliance with biosafety standards in patient care used by health personnel in the surgical center of the A. Loayza Hospital, in room 6-II, Lima, 2021. Methodology: A study will be carried out quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional. The study population will be made up of 30 health professionals including surgeons, anesthesiologists and nursing staff who work in room 6-II of the surgical center. A validated instrument will be used with the observation technique where the correct use of biosafety standards, which consists of 3 dimensions: physical barriers, chemical barriers and waste elimination. The data obtained will be statistically processed in the SPSS program.

Introducción: Según la OMS (Organización Mundial de la Salud), las normas de bioseguridad son aquellas reglas y guias sanitarias implantadas para conversar el bienestar y seguridad de los profesionales que se enfrentan a peligros de origen organico, sintetico y de contacto. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de cumplimiento de las normas de bioseguridad en la atención de los pacientes que emplea el personal de salud en centro quirurgico del Hospital A. Loayza, en la sala 6-II, Lima, 2021. Metodología: Se realizará un estudio cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo y de corte transversal. La población del estudio estará conformada por 30 profesionales de la salud entre medicos cirujanos, anestesiologos y personal de Enfermeria que trabajen en la sala 6-II de centro quirurgico, se utilizara un instrumento validado con la tecnica de la observacion donde se podra verificar el correcto uso de las normas de bioseguridad, el cual consta de 3 dimensiones: barreras fisicas, barreras quimicas y eliminacion de residuos. Los datos obtenidos serán procesados estadísticamente en el programa SPSS.
