Satisfaction and job performance of nursing staff in the surgical center area of the Vitarte hospital, Lima-2023

Abstract

The main objective of the study carried out was to determine the relationship between satisfaction with the job performance of nursing staff in the surgical center area of Hospital Vitarte, Lima2023. It was an investigation with a hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, applied type and non-experimental cross-sectional design and descriptive correlational level, it is a study that has a census-type sample, that is, the entire population will be the sample, 80 nursing staff working in the surgical center area of Hospital Vitarte, the questionnaire was used as an instrument and the survey as a technique to apply it to the research participants. Likewise, the main results of the study indicate that job satisfaction with job performance, there is a relationship due to an average satisfaction with average job performance of 43.8%, both present a relationship of 60%. On the other hand, it was shown that there is a relationship in all dimensions of the job satisfaction variable with respect to the job performance variable, concluding the existence of a relationship between the study variables.

Objetivo: Determinar cuál es la relación entre la satisfacción con el desempeño laboral del personal de enfermería en el área de centro quirúrgico del Hospital Vitarte, Lima-2023. Material y métodos: Fue una investigación con método hipotético-deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada y diseño no experimental de corte transversal y de nivel descriptivo correlacional, es un estudio que tiene una muestra de tipo censal, es decir que toda la población será la muestra, 80 personal de enfermería que trabajan en el área de centro quirúrgico del Hospital Vitarte, se utilizó como instrumento el cuestionario y como técnica la encuesta para aplicarlo a los participantes de la investigación. Asimismo, los resultados principales del estudio indican que la satisfacción laboral con el desempeño laboral, existe relación en razón a una satisfacción media con desempeño laboral medio en 43.8%, ambos presentan una relación del 60%. Por otro lado, se demostró que existe relación en todas las dimensiones de la variable satisfacción laboral con respecto a la variable desempeño laboral, concluyendo la existencia de relación entre las variables de estudio.
