Knowledge and practice of the nursing staff for the care of the patient in the prone position with mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit of the regional hospital, Ica 2022

Abstract

Introduction: Within the anatomical positions that the body presents, the prone position is a position that is found in the placement of the body upside down, which is applied by the staff as part of the procedure to improve the treatment of the patient. In the intensive care unit, the nurse performs several activities based on the organization for the survival process of the critical state of the patient, this allows the optimal functioning of the service and multidisciplinary management through the use of technology, thus becoming the axis central to the development of activities through responsibility, commitment, honesty, communication and organization, which is why it is important that they have up-to-date knowledge and practices. Objective: Identify the level of knowledge and practice of nursing staff for patient care in position prone with mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit of the Regional Hospital, Ica 2022. Methods: The research will be "hypothetical deductive method", with a quantitative approach, this study is applied, its design is non-experimental, cross-sectional with correlational scope, Population and sample: there will be a finite population of 50 Likewise, for this study, a validated questionnaire and an observation guide will be used as instruments, and the SPPS version 26 program will be used for data processing, which will provide the results in graphs and/or tables.

Introducción: Dentro de las posiciones anatómicas que presenta el cuerpo la posición decúbito prono es una posición que se encuentra en la colocación del cuerpo boca abajo, la cual el personal lo aplica como parte del procedimiento de mejora en el tratamiento del paciente. En la unidad de cuidados intensivos el enfermero cumple varias actividades basadas en la organización para el proceso de supervivencia del estado crítico del paciente, ello permite el funcionamiento óptimo del servicio y del manejo multidisciplinario mediante el uso de la tecnología, así se convierte en el eje central del desarrollo de las actividades mediante responsabilidad, compromiso, honestidad, comunicación y organización, es por ello la importancia que estén con conocimientos y prácticas actualizados. Objetivo: Identificar el nivel de conocimiento y practica del personal de enfermería para el cuidado del paciente en posición prono con ventilación mecánica en la unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Regional, Ica 2022. Métodos: La investigación será de “método hipotético deductivo”, con enfoque cuantitativos, este estudio es aplicada, su diseño es no experimental, de corte transversal con alcance correlacional, Población y muestra: se contará con una población finita de 50 enfermeros, asimismo, para este estudio se usará como instrumentos un cuestionario y una guía de observación respectivamente validados y para el procesamiento de datos se usará el programa del SPPS versión 26, la cual los resultados se brindarán en gráficos y/tablas.
